Finca Meridiano started as a coffee farm in 2011, it has a total area of 25 hectares of which 10 are dedicated for coffee production. Mario Hervas, the owner, has always been very focussed on quality, gaining him a high reputation amongst Ecuadorian coffee producers.

The farm is located on the western foothill of the Andes near the capital, Quito, in a quiet and remote area. There are several water springs in the farm which are used for washing the coffee. This farm sits in an advantaged microclimate for coffee growing, compared to the rest of the north western growing region in Ecuador, the humidity and rainfall is not as aggressive as it can be in other parts of the region.

Up to this date, Meridiano only produces the varietal Typica Mejorado, which is a varietal developed locally. The seeds were all germinated by Mario at the farm. In the coming years, Meridiano will also start producing Gesha and Pink Bourbon.
